As a specialized category within Reality Modulation, Environmental Modulation studies environmental appearance through camera processing, display rendering and related sensory experiences. Warmth, exposure, contrast, color and analog texture are adjustable image characteristics.
EM Chrono is the current software study: a local webcam experience with 41 period-inspired profiles, procedural audio, natural-view bypass and photo capture. Environmental controls affect the rendered camera image. They do not physically change room illumination or command lighting hardware.
